Caretaker - Brecon – Fulltime - 37.5 hours per week – Driver preferrable

We are looking for a passionate Caretaker to join our team at Ty Bronllys home and school in Brecon. You will play a vital role in day to day life at the services. You and your work will make all the difference to the lives of the individuals we support.

A day in the life of a Caretaker with Orbis Education and Care Involves:
1. Cleaning the building and checking pest control issues
2. Gardening and performing landscape duties or supervising others in these roles
3. Inspecting the building, including heating, cooling, lighting, and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order
4. To observe and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, courtesy and consideration to all clients, colleagues, and visitors to the unit.
5. To always maintain the confidentiality of information regarding clients, in accordance with Orbis Education and Cares’ Confidentiality Policy.
6. To work as a member of the staff team, co-operate fully and communicate with all team members to help provide a fulfilling environment so that clients can strive to develop their full potential.

To be a successful Caretaker with Orbis Education and Care, you’ll need:
9. To be able to able manage crisis situations
10. Being courteous, honest, and practical
11. Communicating effectively in both verbal and written format
12. Following health and safety regulations
13. Making minor repairs and maintaining small equipment
14. The understanding of technical information, building construction and design
15. Persons who have Construction, Building, Engineering, or IOSH certifications is desirable but not essential.
16. Persons to be to be educated, at least, at the high school level with GCSE’s, NVQ’s or SVQ’s.
17. Due to setting knowledge of working with people with ASD or LD not essential but desirable
