About the role
Due to expansion, we are looking for another Advice Session Supervisor to join our team to support, supervise, and develop the delivery of our general advice service. This includes our daily advice sessions delivered via face-to-face, telephone, and email. You will be a team player, with a passion for making a difference in the lives of local people, and the ability to contribute to and support the delivery of high-quality advice to those who need it. Preferably someone with advice-giving skills; however, this is not essential, and it is more important that we get the right candidate. We would be interested to hear from current volunteer advisers looking for paid employment.
Citizens Advice Dunstable helps people resolve any problems regarding benefits, debts, housing, family, immigration, consumer, and legal issues by providing free, independent, confidential, and impartial information and advice. We value diversity, promote equality, and challenge discrimination. We are a small, friendly, dynamic team with an excellent working environment. Everyone in the team demonstrates a strong commitment and a willingness to ‘get stuck in’ and support one another to deliver the best service possible. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your own advice skills whilst investing in people and services to support those who need our help the most. If you are seeking to make a difference and to further your own advice delivery skills, we’d love to hear from you.
Are you passionate about giving an effective service to those most in need and who are not afraid to drive change and improvement? We are looking for a self-motivated individual with proven ability to manage and supervise a team. Ideally, you will have recent experience supervising within Citizens Advice, but if you have experience in the advice sector, then there will be the opportunity to train into the role.
The main purpose is to provide supervision and support that will help us to continue to make a difference in our community by coordinating advice sessions and ensuring we meet our quality targets. We are looking for someone with a compassionate and patient attitude, a strong team player, with an excellent eye for detail and great people skills. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to use a range of IT systems. You will thrive in a busy environment, have a positive and willing attitude, and a willingness to adopt the aims and principles of Citizens Advice.
