About The Role We have an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering function here at FBC UK Reporting into the Project Manager, we are looking for a candidate to support the delivery of all capital projects at FBC Batley, ensuring that these projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet defined scope. If you are a team player, with critical thinking and proactive approach this could be the role for you Main Responsibilities Deliver site capital projects Define project scope, goals, and deliverables Define tasks and required resources Create and manage communication plans Manage budgets for accountable projects Build effective relationships with a collaborative approach Create schedule and project timeline Track deliverables Compliance with site and group contractor control standards Contractor management documented, controlled and auditable Monitor and report on project progress Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs Comply with health and safety/ food safety regulations Engage effectively with cross functional teams Evaluate and assess result of project Support other members of the Engineering team Product Integrity and Segregation is to be aware of the below: What is supposed to be in the product is in the product. What is NOT supposed to be in the product ISN’T in the product. Factory At Risk ingredients is to ensure that they are handled carefully and used properly. This is important for all products produced onsite What are the key ingredients for the role? Strong technical background – Apprentice trained in an Engineering discipline. Managing safely IOSH qualification. Experienced with AutoCAD desirable. Awareness of regulatory framework such as CDM, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH and DSEAR. Theoretical and practical project management knowledge. Knowledge of techniques and tools (Problem Solving – Planning – Designing etc.). Experience of delivering successful capital projects up to £1M. Proficiency in project management software tools. Experience in Engineering roles on complex FMCG sites is desirable. Excellent planning and organisation skills. Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to deal with conflict and tackle the service provided by contractors and suppliers. Excellent decision-making processes Flexible/ embraces change/ challenges the status quo. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Good understanding of written & spoken English plus numeracy skills. Good understanding of contingency planning.
