Job Purpose Reporting to the Group Head of Technical, the Compliance Officer assists the Group Head of Technical in day-to-day functions and duties of the technical team ensuring that businesses comply with food law and health and safety legislation. Providing excellent service and dealing with challenging situations calmly and effectively to achieve positive outcomes. Ability to communicate clearly with business owners and their staff, members of the public, other agencies, customers, suppliers, auditing bodies and other council officers at all levels. Duties include but no limited to: • Finished product Specifications writing • Labelling and coding approval • Product authenticity claims and chain of custody. • Complaints management (meeting, responses control) • Technical Dashboard Management • Process implementation and controls Management • NPD • Control Of the QMS system • Overseeing customer complaints, and driving the customer complaints meeting • Overseeing Reporting and presentation • Allergen matrix DECISION-MAKING Decision-making will generally be referred to the Group Head of Technical however the individual in this role will be responsible for customer relations which does involves responses and communication, as finished product specifications and labelling so it will be expected to make decisions in these areas before escalating to the Group Head of Technical if necessary.
