The postholder will play a key part in the leadership of the Trust and has responsibilities across the organisation as well as the specific division. Sussex Partnership is rated overall as "good" by CQC with an "outstanding" rating for caring. This role will be a full time Consultant level post with the post holder working 8 PAs as Clinical Director and 2 PAs in a clinical Consultant Psychiatrist role (external applicants must agree the clinical post prior to interview based on one of the current vacancies within the division). The role attracts a responsibility payment in accordance with current Trust guidelines; this, along with Additional Programmed Activities, will be negotiated with the successful applicant. They will work as part of a close team with the Divisional Managing Director and Divisional Director of Nursing and Quality and the Associate Clinical Directors. There is a recognition that clinical and strategic leadership needs to cross the Divisional directorate structures to ensure that there is pathway standardisation, consistency of clinical standards, practices and outcomes. The Clinical Director will work with other Divisions and corporate leadership to achieve this goal. The clinical element of the role will be as a Consultant Psychiatrist in a clinical service within the division. This can be flexible depending on the qualifications, experience and personal preference of the successful candidate.
