Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Product Owner to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for documenting business requirements, understanding current processes, and driving the design and implementation of future systems. This role requires close collaboration with various partners and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of integrated, customer-centric, and automated solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Requirements Documentation:
* Document business requirements and desired outcomes for the finance area.
* Understand and document current processes, pain points, and stakeholder feedback.
1. Design Workshops:
* Attend design workshops with configuration, SI, change, and data partners.
* Provide specialist functional knowledge and make agile design decisions.
* Design roles and access requirements.
1. System and Process Design:
* Ensure designs meet key requirements: standardised, simple, integrated, customer-centric, digital-first, and data-centric.
* Challenge designs that do not meet these criteria.
1. Digital Opportunities:
* Assess and incorporate enhanced digital opportunities (e.g., AI developments) to automate processes.
* Ensure designs are future-proof and consider future developments.
1. Collaboration:
* Work closely with other Product Owners across Finance, HR, and Procurement.
* Support forums to ensure fully integrated designs and address gaps or issues.
1. Design Approval:
* Approve final designs for submission to the Product Manager and Design Authority.
1. Data Management:
* Collaborate with the data team to capture all data requirements.
* Support data cleansing activities and ensure new data requirements are met.
1. Control Environment:
* Work with the controls team to design robust and efficient controls for new processes.
1. Build Support:
* Support SI and configuration partners during the build process.
* Participate in playbacks and early testing.
1. Change Management:
* Collaborate with Change partners and the CFO Change team on change impacts, training needs, and communication plans.
* Engage BAU teams throughout the transformation.
1. User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
* Participate in UAT, involving BAU teams as needed.
* Define test script scope and ensure thorough testing and sign-off.
1. Role Mapping:
* Support role-to-user mapping for the finance area.
1. Early Life Support (ELS):
* Support the ELS process, highlight issues, and approve resolutions for a successful exit.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in finance.
* Strong understanding of finance processes and systems.
* Excellent documentation and communication skills.
* Ability to make agile design decisions and challenge non-compliant designs.
* Experience with digital transformation and automation.
* Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
* Knowledge of data management and control environments.
* Experience in change management and user acceptance testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with AI developments and digital-first solutions.
* Familiarity with integrated systems across Finance, HR, and Procurement.
