Head of Engineering Location: West Midlands Salary: £70,000 - £80,000Purpose of Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Engineering to join a leading organization and take strategic and tactical responsibility for driving engineering excellence. This role is focused on delivering superior product development, quality, cost efficiency, and operational performance while fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement engineering strategies to achieve business objectives.Manage financial performance, including labor, overtime, SLA agreements, utilities, and budgets.Ensure key performance metrics are met, such as PPM completion rates and asset downtime improvements.Lead and develop the engineering team to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.Promote employee engagement and a strong safety-first culture.Oversee contracts, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality outcomes.Key Performance Measures:Achieving financial targets and efficiency gains.Reducing asset downtime and implementing process improvements.Delivering projects on time and within budget.Enhancing team development and engagement.Maintaining compliance with safety and legal standards.Key Skills and Experience:Proven leadership experience, with 5+ years in senior engineering roles (preferably in the protein or food production sector).Expertise in change management, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision-making.Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.Ability to lead and inspire teams, manage performance, and deliver operational excellence.Strategic and proactive approach with a customer-focused mindset.Ideal Candidate Profile:A strong leader with a passion for driving continuous improvement.Agile, collaborative, and results-oriented.Skilled in managing budgets and operational KPIs.Dedicated to creating a unified, high-performing team environment.Experienced in managing complex projects from start to finish.Why Apply?
