About the role
We provide exceptional governance and support to our Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and our Charitable Foundation. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Society Secretary who will report into the Company Secretary.
The role includes coordinating all inputs from the business, preparing agendas, circulating papers, live minuting meetings, and supporting the Executive Team on actions arising from meetings.

About you
Key to this role is building and maintaining effective professional relationships for personal success in the role and the Secretarial Function’s credibility.
To be successful in this role it’s essential you have:
* A detail-oriented approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Legal qualification as a solicitor/barrister or CGI/ICSA qualified (or equivalent), with significant experience in company secretarial duties.
* Extensive experience as a company secretary or assistant company secretary in a regulated industry.
* Strong interpersonal skills for building effective relationships and communicating with colleagues at all levels.
* Excellent drafting and research skills to prepare clear materials for Executive and Board-level audiences, alongside strong analytical abilities to interpret information swiftly.
* A hands-on approach to manage competing priorities in a dynamic setting, with a flexible attitude to develop your governance knowledge while supporting other teams as needed.
Desirable experience needed:
* Financial services experience, particularly in a large financial services environment.
