This role is similar to working in a GP setting providing treatment room care and routine nursing related duties. You will be expected to work across all our sites. Principle Responsibilities: Residents are to be treated with dignity, respect and discretion whilst maintaining their confidentiality at all times. Phlebotomy To undertake basic wound care and inform Physical Health Nurse of any changes ECG To administer Flu and Covid vaccine clinics having been adequately trained To assess pressure areas and skin integrity and report to Physical Health nurse or Nurse in Charge of any change. Stock audit and ordering Continence Project Organising and supporting residents with the Oakleaf Wellness Buddies Programme To undertake any additional duties as may from time to time be deemed necessary, including working across sites. To liaise with and communicate effectively with other members of the team To maintain high standards of tidiness, hygiene and safety in the use of all equipment and areas of work, in line with the Practice Health and Safety policy, Infection Control Policy as well as all other Practice policies and procedures. To attend course and study days as required or thought necessary to maintain high standards and to record these as part of continuing professional development. Accurately recording and maintaining resident’s records About you: The post-holder will have experience within a physical health care setting. The post-holder will work closely with the Physical Health Nurse. The post-holder will be expected to be self-motivated, follow instruction and use their initiative when necessary. The postholder will have good communication skills with members of the team and residents. It is expected that the post-holder will carry the duties above, however there may be times where other duties will be expected as and when they arise. The post-holder will be able to manage their own time and prioritise their own work load.
