The Role: As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students across various subjects, supporting individual and small group learning. You will help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment, provide tailored support to students who need extra help, and assist with classroom management. This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience in education and contribute to the academic and personal development of students. Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support for students, including those with special educational needs (SEN). Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities, under the guidance of the classroom teacher. Support students in developing their learning skills and building confidence in the classroom. Help with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and supporting the delivery of the curriculum. Assist with tracking and monitoring student progress and provide feedback to the teaching staff. Support the development of students' social and emotional skills through mentoring and guidance. Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive school environment. Essential Qualifications & Skills: A degree in any subject (or equivalent qualification). Passion for working with young people and supporting their learning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Patient, adaptable, and committed to supporting students' academic and personal development. A desire to pursue a career in teaching or education-related fields. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Requirements: Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one. Provide at least two professional employment references. Desirable Experience: Experience of working with young people, either in a tutoring, mentoring, or voluntary capacity. Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and how to support students with additional learning needs. Familiarity with secondary school curriculum and classroom environments. Why Join Us?
