IT Support Technician - Plymouth, MI

We are looking for a talented IT Support Technician. You will be responsible for providing first-level technical support to end-users and assisting with maintaining the organization's IT systems. This role requires strong customer service skills, technical expertise, and the ability to resolve technical problems efficiently to support the daily operations of the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot and resolve level 1 and level 2 help desk tickets related to desktops, laptops, printers, and software.
* Document support requests, issues, and solutions in the IT ticketing system.
* Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when needed and ensure timely resolution.
* Build and maintain detailed and accurate IT documentation, including user guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting procedures.
* Update and revise documentation regularly to reflect IT systems, software, or process changes.
* Regularly monitor security dashboards to identify and address potential vulnerabilities or threats.
* Respond to alerts, investigate issues, and report findings to the security team.
* Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
* Conduct small group training sessions for employees on IT-related topics.
* Develop training materials and assess employee understanding.
* Collaborate with project managers and teams to track project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
* Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding with the IT team.
* Collaborate with other IT staff to implement new technologies and upgrades.
* Monitor, maintain, and develop the security awareness program under the direction of senior IT staff.
* Maintain a positive and customer-focused approach in all interactions with employees.
* Ensure work is performed safely using all available safety equipment.
* All other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
* Minimum of an Associate’s degree and 1 year of experience in IT support or a related technical role.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on customer service.
* Experience with Windows OS environments.
* Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
* Basic knowledge of Active Directory and user account management.
* Basic knowledge of IT security best practices.
* Experience with IT ticketing systems and documentation of support activities.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes and procedures.
* Demonstrated experience being highly motivated and self-directed.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to walk, speak verbally, read in English, see with corrective lenses, and hear.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, and manual dexterity tasks.
* Ability to use a computer and work evenings and/or weekends as required.
* Ability to travel up to 20% domestically.
