Job Description: We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to play a pivotal role in advancing renewable energy projects. Reporting to the Operations & Grid Director, you will lead efforts to optimise grid connections, perform feasibility studies, and ensure regulatory compliance for a portfolio of renewable energy sites. The Electrical Engineer will drive innovation and efficiency while mentoring junior engineers, contributing to the company’s vision of a sustainable energy future. Key Responsibilities: Optimise grid connections and support grid assessments. Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, and site analyses. Prepare and submit G99 and/or transmission applications. Oversee grid connection contracts and manage related payments. Handle technical, legal, and commercial queries in grid offers. Enhance efficiencies through data analysis of operational assets. Develop technical specifications and tender requirements. Ensure compliance with UK regulations and safety protocols. Provide training and mentorship to team members. Skills & Experience: Essential: Degree or HNC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 years’ experience in renewable energy networks or consultancy. Proficiency in HV/EHV systems. Strong interest in decarbonization and net-zero initiatives. Full UK driving license. Personal Qualities: Enthusiastic self-starter with high attention to detail. Logical decision-making and multitasking ability. Exceptional communication skills and team player mindset.
