We’re looking to recruit a People Assistant, joining the Business Services Directorate to play an active role as part of the People Team, maintaining and developing a centralised, high performing People function.

Job Purpose
You will work as part of the People Team, delivering a proactive and flexible people focused service by providing relevant and appropriate direction and support to UKADs workforce.
Key Result Areas Include:
- Monitoring the People Team and Recruitment inboxes, replying to general queries
- Supporting with the administrative elements of onboarding both employees and workers.
- Management of all personal data and centralised personal files in accordance with Data Protection legislation
- Raising purchase orders and ensure invoices are processed accurate
- Assisting the People Team with workforce data collection, monitoring, reporting and benchmarking in accordance with UK Anti-Doping’s Equality and Diversity Policy
- Supporting with all recruitment and selection activities for employees and workers
- Supporting the People Team with administration of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, probation and leaver processes
- Assisting with coordinating the training, mentoring and assessment programmes for Doping Control Personnel and National Trainers
- Ensuring all employees, DCP and National Trainers carry out mandatory training
- Supporting the People Team with the administration of Learning and Development
- Working with the People Team to ensure payroll changes are accurately reflected in the HR Information System and all associated employee/payroll paperwork is accurately recorded
- Supporting the People Team to ensure all paperwork in relation to salary changes, Performance Related Pay and pensions is recorded accurately
- Supporting with administration of UKAD’s employee benefits, including pension system administration, healthy lifestyle, cycle scheme, eye-care etc.
- Assisting the People Manager when required with managing the Administrator tool for the database, including reporting
- Actively contribute to wellbeing initiatives and activities for staff
- Assisting the People Manager in project groups/workshops
Person Specification
- CIPD Level 3 Certificate or willing/working towards
- Experience of working in a highly administrative role preferably within the People Profession
- Proficient system skills and MS Office
- A passion for the human resources function and service delivery
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills: both oral and written
- Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build rapport and demonstrate empathy
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines, with the aptitude to work dynamically and keep track of multiple tasks/projects
- Ability to prioritise workload

- Experience of managing sensitive and confidential information and working with discretion
