At Prenton Vets4Pets, we are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our lovely team. The practice team is seeking a full-time vet to work alongside an established team of 4 Vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN, and a non-clinical team of 5. We are a well-established small animal practice, purpose-built to market-leading standards. To enhance our practice further, it is well equipped with state-of-the-art tools including Digital x-ray and processor, colour Doppler ultrasound, diathermy, and ultrasonic dental descaler with air drill, providing you with all the equipment needed to offer the best care for our patients.
With more than 440 small animal practices across the country, Vets for Pets is one of the largest UK veterinary groups and offers Veterinary Surgeons a range of opportunities, including the chance to run your own practice. However, what makes Vets for Pets a unique opportunity is that it is run locally, allowing our teams the time and opportunity to support their local community. This means you can join a team that can support your individual needs while offering a bespoke introduction to the practice, local community, and caring for our patients!
The practice is independently run by Matthew Pope, supported by a fantastic team committed to delivering an outstanding level of service in the community. Through this, they have enabled a real "proud to be part of the team" work ethos.
To maintain your work-life balance and enjoy everything this part of the UK has to offer, we can offer you a rota to work within a 1 in 4 weekend rota with no OOH. Prenton is a well-organised, popular first opinion practice with a large following and a varied and interesting caseload. As an experienced vet with a growth mindset, you will have the capability to work sole charge, completing both consults and surgeries daily, allowing all your skills to be fully utilised. If you would like to complete a certificate or have specific CPD in mind, we will certainly encourage you to progress with your ambitions. Matthew, our experienced vet and practice owner, would be delighted to discuss your future ambitions and work patterns to fit around your commitments.
We offer a competitive salary between £45,000 and £60,000 (DOE) and a generous benefits package that you would expect from a major veterinary employer. We welcome overseas vets and provide fully funded visa sponsorship or a generous relocation package to help you settle into your new home in the Northwest. Additionally, we can offer you a sign-on bonus upon joining us and a further payment upon passing your probationary period.
