Job Title: Head of Assets
Location: Remote
Hours: 21 hours per week
Salary: £70,000 to £75,000 pro rata
Key Purpose of the Role
The Head of Assets will oversee the strategic management of the national property portfolio, ensuring maintenance, compliance, and long-term sustainability. Reporting to the Director of Housing and Development, they will shape asset management strategies, deliver capital investment programs, and ensure regulatory compliance.
The role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and experience in social housing asset management. Responsibilities include managing a multidisciplinary team, engaging with stakeholders, and improving property performance, sustainability, and tenant satisfaction.

Essential Criteria
* Significant experience in asset management, surveying, or property leadership within the social housing or charity sector.
* In-depth knowledge of property compliance, building safety, and housing regulations.
* Proven track record of leading asset strategies, investment programmes, and capital projects.
* Strong financial and budget management experience, including preparing business cases and investment plans.
* Experience of leading and developing teams, with a collaborative and proactive management approach.
* Knowledge of asset management databases, digital reporting tools, and data analysis.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities, commercial acumen, and strategic thinking.
Relevant professional qualifications, such as MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building), or equivalent experience
