* Senior Financial Analyst - Resorts ($93,300.00-$117,700.00)
Position Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst is the finance business partner for client groups at the Resort at Pelican Hill. Key responsibilities include developing a deep understanding of the business, proactive and objective financial analysis and decision support, prioritizing multiple demands, and interacting with and presenting to key operations partners. They will provide financial and analytical support including the development of the Annual Budget, monthly Forecasts, and period close. The position reports to the Director of Operations Finance and works closely with the Corporate Accounting team to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Job Duties:
1. Serve as an on-site finance point of contact and business thought partner for operating client groups.
2. Partner with client groups to develop tactics to ensure that the organization meets/exceeds planned financial goals for the year.
3. Ensure management has full exposure to financial performance metrics; build and maintain transparent reporting suites; risks/opportunities are clearly identified and quantified, and tactics are implemented to meet all goals/targets.
4. Manage the month-end process for all client groups including preparing KPI reporting, reviewing the trial balance, and preparation of journal entries and accruals.
5. Prepare financial dashboards and metrics as needed for the Director of Operations Finance and client groups.
6. Proactively identify opportunities for financial/operational improvements and modeling of future business strategies and execute on action plans.
7. Implement procedures and systems to enhance financial functions and efficiency.
8. Review property invoices to ensure actuals are aligned with budgeted targets. Reconcile monthly operating expense checkbooks to forecast and communicate any overages or trends to operations.
9. Support accountability and action plans for Resorts internal audit results.
10. Instill a culture of excellence in the team through effective development and mentoring of talented and diverse Finance professionals.
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
1. Undergraduate Degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting, or Economics.
2. 5+ years of financial experience including (but not limited to): annual budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial analysis, reporting, auditing, data analysis.
3. Experience within a large and complex organization with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.
4. Expertise in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite.
5. Ability to work independently with limited direction.
6. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
7. Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
8. Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of management.
9. Systems oriented, able to deep dive into various systems - experience with SAP (ERP), Tableau, Coupa, Yellowdog, Micros (POS), and Opera (PMS) are a plus.
10. Hospitality/real estate background a plus but not required.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $93,300.00 - $117,700.00
Actual placement within this range may vary based upon relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
