Responsibilities of our Shop Manager:
* Lead a team of employees and volunteers to deliver the highest standards of customer service in our shop in order to maximise income for cat welfare.
* Demonstrate charity retailing best practice and safety in areas of rotation, pricing, density, visual merchandising, use of space, stock security, shop cleanliness and back of house and till operations.
About the Retail team:
* We currently operate 100 shops across the country and an online trading operation for new and donated goods.
* Retail and trading play a key role in growing income and introducing new audiences to Cats Protection.
What we're looking for in our Shop Manager:
* Previous retail and people management experience.
* A strong communicator with excellent organisational skills.
* A highly self-motivated, positive and resilient individual.
* The ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a variety of people.
* Strong knowledge of the issues relating to recruiting and retaining volunteers.
* Experience of working to targets and KPIs within a retail environment is essential.
