Make a Difference: SEN Driving Learning Mentor Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and hold a full UK driving licence? Are you seeking a rewarding role through Reed where you can make a real impact starting after Easter? We work with multiple Alternative Provisions (APs) that are looking for dedicated SEN Learning Mentors to join their teams. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping young people with SEN gain skills and confidence both in and outside the classroom. About the Role: Provide tailored support to learners with SEN, both in the classroom and during times out in the community including swimming Develop positive and trusting relationships with learners, fostering a supportive learning environment - you will be that person to make the child feel that education is possible again Work with the class teacher to create a nurturing environment. Work within a caring team that supports during challenging times. Maintain accurate and detailed records of learner progress - full training is given. Use a variety of teaching strategies to cater to individual needs and learning styles. Engage learners with a bespoke and exciting curriculum that includes both on-site and off-site activities. You will be: Patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting young people with SEN. A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. Able to build rapport and trust with learners quickly. Flexible and adaptable, able to think on your feet and problem-solve. A full UK driving licence holder with a clean driving record. DBS checked.
