Are you an experienced Account Payable professional or someone who has extensive experience leading Purchase Ledger functions?
A highly established business who have gone through a fast period of change are looking for an Account Payable Manager to join their finance team based in Braintree.
This is a great opportunity to lead several projects including a system implementation, influence processes, progress with the business as they continue to expand and work alongside a dynamic team.
They are offering a salary up to £40,000, a generous pension contribution, a fast-working environment, and the chance to take on new responsibilities.
What you will do:
1. As a key member of the finance department, you will provide high level support to Finance and the wider business.
2. Work within a fast paced, high volume, transactional role that requires a high calibre individual with a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes in a similar sized business.
3. Responsible for the effective and efficient running of the Purchase Ledger function and all related outflows of the business.
4. Identify and lead various efficiency projects highlighting improvements to be made and working closely with the SLT to ensure these efficiencies are carried out.
5. Managing the Accounts Payable mailbox, posting supplier invoices and documents ensuring they’re coded correctly in the system.
6. Leading the weekly supplier and employee expense payment runs.
7. Ensure approvals are managed and followed up weekly with the designated approver.
8. Ensuring the supplier statements are reconciled and anomalies investigated immediately.
9. Ensure all Standing Order and Direct Debit payments are processed and reflected correctly in the ledgers and a register of Standing Orders and Direct Debits is maintained and accurate.
10. Provide month-end review of the Creditors ledger, by reporting and providing commentary on the supplier debit balances.
11. Ensure debit balances are resolved within a timely manner, provide reporting on this as part of the month-end close process.
