How the role will make an impact:
The Management Accountant plays a crucial role by assisting Senior Management in making critical business decisions by analysing and presenting key financial data. The MA will assume responsibility of cost accounting tasks and be both a strategist and decision maker. The goal is to contribute to the decision-making process of management that will ensure business growth and long-term success.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Gather and analyse financial information for internal use
* Support budgeting and forecasting which assist business planning and decision-making
* Assist with accounting procedures
* Evaluate the Company's performance using key data
* Advise on problems and suggest improvements
* Assist with finance transformation activities
* Assist in the preparation of the monthly Management Account and Management Information packs to Plc reporting deadlines
* Support ad hoc accounting and financial month end requirements
* Good controls mindset to support the Finance Manager in creating a strong and robust controls framework.
Key Skills:
* Excellent knowledge of financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel and Power-point
* Solid knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practices
* Excellent knowledge of cost accounting and reporting
* Excellent knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
* Analytical mind
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* A problem solver with attention to detail
* Organisational and leadership skills
* Qualified CIMA, ACCA or working towards a professional qualification
* Positive team player, working with all aspects of the business to provide constructive solutions
* Experience in using Hyperion Financial Management package would be an advantage
* A strong inclination for an interest in system and process improvement. The individual must be capable of using their initiative to propose improvements.
