We're Hiring: SEMH Teaching Assistant - Full Time, Term Time Only
Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our specialist school, providing crucial support to pupils with moderate learning difficulties (MLD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD).
About the Role:
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students in Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4, helping them manage their social, emotional, and behavioural needs while supporting their academic progress.
- Support pupils with SEMH and additional complex needs, including MLD, ASD, and ADHD
- Offer personalised learning plans and support to meet each student's individual needs
- Foster a calm, supportive classroom environment that encourages engagement and progress
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation, helping students develop resilience
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to monitor and track student progress
The Ideal Candidate:
- Patient, understanding, and compassionate
- Experience supporting students with SEMH, MLD, ASD, or ADHD is desirable but not essential
- Able to adapt quickly to meet the needs of each individual pupil
- Proactive, with a positive attitude and a passion for helping students succeed
