A warm and inclusive primary school in Havering is seeking a compassionate and dedicatedSEN Teaching Assistantto join their team on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with special educational needs in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Provide tailored one-on-one and small group support for students with SEN, helping them access and engage with the curriculum.
* Collaborate with the class teacher to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
* Develop and implement individual learning strategies to meet the needs of SEN students.
* Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere to promote students’ confidence, independence, and social skills.
* Monitor and report on student progress, working closely with the SENCo, teachers, and parents.
* Assist in preparing resources and adapting lessons to suit individual learning styles and needs.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in a primary school setting.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting student learning and well-being.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, students, and families.
* Commitment to promoting inclusion and helping all children succeed.
* Enhanced DBS check and the legal right to work in the UK.
