They are seeking a passionate and experienced Physics and General Science Teacher to join their dedicated faculty. Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be instrumental in empowering students to develop a deep understanding and appreciation for the principles of physics and general science within an International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. This role entails fostering a dynamic and inquiry-based learning environment that encourages independent thought, collaboration, and a lifelong love of science.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP) Physics and General Science curriculum to students in Grades 6 to 12.
* Design and implement engaging and challenging lessons that promote scientific inquiry and critical thinking.
* Prepare and mark a wide range of assessments following MYP and DP protocols.
* Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of students.
* Utilize a range of student-centered teaching strategies, resources, and technology to enhance learning experiences.
* Embed IB "Approaches to Learning" in the curriculum delivery.
* Collaborate with the Chair of Science and other faculty members to establish interdisciplinary links.
* Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements and teaching methodologies.
Education and Qualifications:
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Physics or a related field.
* Teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
* Fluency in both verbal and written English
Knowledge and Skills:
* Full knowledge of Physics and General Science subject matter and the latest developments in these fields.
* Ability to deliver outstanding lessons using diverse teaching strategies and resources
* Enthusiasm and passion for teaching Physics and General Science
* Adaptability to meet the diverse needs of learners
* Excellent practitioner of inquiry-based and hands-on learning approaches
