At Nuffield Health, the UK's largest healthcare charity, everything we give our patients, members, and customers would not be possible without you. Your passion, your warmth, your drive to make a difference. Whether it's driving connected health, helping the nation, transforming experiences, or building the career you want - we give you the support to do it all. Join our journey. It starts with you.
Our Theatre department has 4 theatres which facilitate Major Ortho Hip/Knee spinal fusions, Major Gynae both laparoscopic and open, Urology including laser HOLEPs, ENT including surgical procedures with two Professors, Plastic surgery including a world-renowned DIEP surgeon, General Surgery, Ophthalmic and Maxillofacial.
We expect you to actively contribute to service development, policies and strategies, and identify opportunities. You will support individuals and teams to deliver high quality, clinically effective patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Along the way, you will build strong relationships with consultants, hospital senior leaders, a wide range of healthcare professionals, and, of course, patients. Working collaboratively alongside the consultants, ensuring patients benefit from the best possible treatment and care.
Registered with a relevant governing body, your specialist training includes a nursing/practitioner qualification and/or postgraduate courses. You have also got impressive senior level experience in a theatre setting. You will be accountable for leading, motivating, and supervising a multidisciplinary team within theatres. A professional management qualification would also be an advantage, as you'll need to be equipped for business planning and development, audits and clinical governance, infection prevention, health and safety, and risk analysis.
To succeed as a Clinical Leader you will have:
1. A wide range of nursing skills and knowledge, including care of patients pre and post operatively, following various surgical procedures such as Cardiac, Colorectal, Orthopaedic, Day-care, Plastics, ENT, Gynea, Urology, and more.
2. Excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic, forward-thinking approach.
3. As much confidence working independently, as you do as part of a team.
4. Excellent leadership and ward management skills - including a commitment to role modelling good practice and developing staff members.
Helping you feel good.
