An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, experienced administrator to join the endoscopy booking team as an endoscopy booking clerk at Colchester Hospital.
In this role, you will be contacting patients via the phone to book them for their endoscopy procedures, assisting diagnosis via our 18-week, urgent, and 2-week wait pathways.
This role will be worked on a rota shift basis. Hours are between 08:00 and 16:00 Monday to Friday and Saturday 09:00 to 17:00. This may be subject to change upon the needs of the service.
Main Duties of the Job
You will be responsible for booking patients in line with the Trust's 'Patient Access Policy' and ensuring that all patients are allocated to an appropriate endoscopy list, with procedures carried out as soon as possible.
In this role, you will need to be fully computer literate in all Microsoft applications and ideally have recent administrative experience. You will also need excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise your workload while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
