We're offering an opportunity for a junior Solicitor to join our leading Construction & Engineering Department, to focus on contentious work. You can expect plenty of involvement working on a range of high quality and complex construction disputes with national and international clients.
The Team
Part of one of the UK's largest construction practices, our Contentious Construction team works at the forefront of an array of key sectors, including energy and utilities, transport, real estate and infrastructure, nationally and internationally.
The team regularly supports clients in navigating complex legal landscapes, utilising experience across a broad range of dispute resolution methods including:
1. ;
2. International and domestic arbitration;
3. Pre-Action Protocol for construction and engineering disputes;
4. Litigation in the Technology and Construction Court;
5. Strategic troubleshooting advice on legal and contractual issues arising throughout the project life-cycle;
6. Industry specific procedures such as Expert Determination and Conciliation;
7. Expert Determination; and
8. Mediation.

What you'll need
9. Relevant experience assisting on complex and high value construction disputes, with an early understanding of resolution techniques
10. Be a strong team player, with excellent interpersonal skills
11. Able to manage a complex and varied workload effectively
12. Be self-motivated and willing to learn
13. Must be a SRA or Law Society of Scotland registered lawyer
