One of the largest law firms in the United Kingdom has an opening within their in-house team for an experienced regulatory advisor (either a qualified solicitor or an experienced compliance professional with equivalent qualifications) within any of their offices, with a preference for candidates based within the Leeds / Sheffield / Newcastle areas.
In this hybrid working role, which will only require one day a week in the nearest local office (further ad hoc travel may be required for team meetings in other locations but will not be a regular occurrence), the successful candidate will work as an integral part of the team in providing advice and working towards solutions that ensure the business is compliant with its regulatory and legal obligations. This role will involve direct engagement with various stakeholders across multiple levels, including maintaining a very close working relationship with the Head of Regulatory, who will offer guidance and occasional supervision as required.
Although this position is open to qualified solicitors, applicants do not need to be legally qualified as long as they can demonstrate a high level of experience in handling compliance matters. Candidates with experience in such a role within the remit of the Solicitors Regulatory Authority would be of particular interest to my client. Applications from candidates who have worked in a compliance role within a law firm or as part of an in-house legal team will be particularly well received.
My client will consider candidates with a salary expectation of £50,000 per annum for this role. Along with the excellent hybrid/remote working arrangement, there are a number of great benefits which can be discussed in further detail upon receipt of an application.
