Join our prestigious Global manufacturing client within their Distilling projects team, based in the Heart of the Whisky Industry. With a focus on a variety of engaging projects spanning multiple sites, this role offers an exciting chance to play a crucial role in their Production Operations.
As a Process/Senior Process Engineer, you'll report directly to the Head of Strategic Projects and collaborate closely within a diverse team. Your responsibilities will encompass managing projects from inception to completion, with key focus on Process Engineering elements of the projects with a particular emphasis on Process Design, Project Scoping, Project Management, Project Installation, Project Commissioning, Improvements & Technical support. These projects will span across Production Operations, aiming to drive production growth, reduce carbon emissions, improve safety efficiencies, and ensure compliance. Handling multiple projects concurrently, you'll navigate through a range of responsibilities with precision and expertise.
We're seeking individuals with a proven track record in project management within a process manufacturing environment, combined with exceptional relationship-building skills and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines. Understanding the critical importance of compliance, you'll leverage a variety of tools and methodologies to approach projects effectively.
* Process Design: Oversee the completion of process engineering deliverables on large-scale projects, including distillery upgrades and new builds.
* Project Scoping: Assist in defining and implementing multidisciplinary engineering projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Project Management: Lead cross-functional teams to execute CAPEX projects, managing all aspects from securing funds to commissioning and handover. Ensure budget, timelines, scope, and HS&E compliance are met to achieve business goals.
* Project Installation: Manage the specification, design, procurement, and supervision of project installations, ensuring smooth coordination across different engineering disciplines.
* Project Commissioning: Provide expert process engineering support during the planning and execution of commissioning activities.
* Improvements: Recommend and implement improvements or replacements to enhance reliability, safety, and production. Proactively develop and introduce new systems or methods to improve project execution.
* Technical Support: Offer technical assistance to production and engineering teams, ensuring all process changes are documented and meet existing standards to maximize production efficiency.
Skills & Experience:
* Degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or a related discipline, with significant industrial experience.
* In-depth knowledge of legislation related to engineering installations in hazardous areas and HS&E regulations.
* Proven experience in safety-related process engineering, including HAZOP and LOPA.
* Strong background in the design, operation, optimisation, and fault-finding of complex systems.
* Extensive experience in project management, including tendering procedures and project engineering tools.
* Commercially aware with knowledge of financial systems, contract writing, and review.
* Full UK Driver's License.
* Proficient in ERP software, Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Project, and other relevant software tools.
