Role Summary
Acute Medicine at the RDUH is ambitious and dynamic with a clear focus of delivering quality care. This post will support our existing cohort to enable flexible working patterns and dedicated skill development time. We are especially keen to support people on or considering the CESR route.
The role will include working clinically in 3 distinct environments including:
* Same Day Emergency Care – Here you will manage patients acutely that can have their care completed in the same day this includes procedures and investigations.
* Acute Medical Unit – You will have the take divided with another registrar to provide zones of care and mutual support. There is direct consultant presence from 8am to 10pm.
* Ambulatory Care – This is where patient follow ups and ongoing procedures occur. It is an ideal environment to develop outpatient and practical skills.

To facilitate this we have opportunities in Acute Hospital at Home, OPAT, teaching and QI. There will also be a dedicated clinic time built into the roster in areas of your choice.
