Morson Talent currently have an opportunity available for an Editorial Reviewer to work on the behalf of our Aerospace client based in Yeovil, Somerset. This is a full-time position to work on an ongoing contract. Key Accountabilities: To review and edit Training Courseware to ensure that all content aligns with the project specification, standards, clarity and consistency across all systems and individual programmes. To review that all design review comments have been embodied iaw the project specification and standard The ability to gather and analyse technical information in consultation with a Subject Matter Expert (SME), assess its relevance to a particular training objective. Ensure deadline adherence to the defined priorities set by the Team Lead. Respond quickly to customer needs and demonstrate customer care. Enhance teamwork by understanding the different skills sets, diverse personalities and competencies that will complement your own strengths and weaknesses within the development groups. To accept constructive feedback from Team Leads, to enhance working practices and product quality. Understand expectations on courseware design, implementation and quality. Contribute to the overall success of a project. Contribute to team meetings and other meetings as appropriate Support the development and standardisation of training courseware content within the Learning Content Management System (LCMS) Provide editorial independence and impartial inputs, to all courseware content reviews Support the development of Distance Learning training packages Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Educated to a good level, with at least 2 years' relevant experience in an editorial or authoring role Knowledge of Simplified English (SE) and Technical English (TE) A good understanding of the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) and modern training systems An understanding of Training Needs Analysis and Courseware Design An “eye” for detail, with a good sense of narrative Experience in design of Courseware development or related subjects Ability to handle Training Courseware Content through the editorial process and to work in an organised way Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to edit documents quickly and accurately.
