Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead a dynamic multidisciplinary team, fostering staff participation at all levels in planning, delivering, and improving programs and services.
2. Quality and Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to staffing standards, patient safety protocols, and College requirements while promoting continuous quality improvement initiatives.
3. Strategic Growth and Financial Oversight: Drive strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, revenue growth, and profitability, while actively managing financial performance and reporting to stakeholders.
4. Physician Recruitment and Resource Planning: Collaborate with the Medical Director to recruit and onboard physicians, manage clinical equipment inventory, and oversee Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) planning.
5. Accreditation and Governance: Prepare for Accreditation Canada inspections, facilitate quarterly Quality and Medical Advisory Committee meetings, and safeguard patient confidentiality.
6. Education and Innovation: Promote staff development through educational initiatives and maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in technology and medical practices to support excellence in care delivery.
Qualifications:
7. Graduate of a recognized Nursing Program
8. Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN), in good standing with the provincial regulatory body of nurses
9. Completion of an accredited peri-operative nursing program a requirement with 3-5 years in the intra-operative environment
10. BCLS/ACLS Certified and PALS, if applicable
11. Minimum 5 years in a leadership role (e.g.: Charge Nurse, Specialty Coordinator, Practice Lead)
