Working hours: 25 hours per week Interview Date: To be confirmed BH1 is a Drop In Centre in Boscombe which is part of Boscombe Corps, The vision is to work alongside the local community and to engage and support the Project’s client base by developing relationships, encouraging them to access the holistic activities and resources available at the Project. Identify sources of support to meet Clients varying needs, developing knowledge in Benefits, Harm Reduction, Employment skills and Mental Health Support. You will Manage the programmes and activities within the BH1 Project and local community under the direction of the Community Project manager to deliver the stated aims of the programme. The role includes working a rota. Occasional weekend working and managing the centre in the absence of the Community Project Manager. Key Responsibilities: Support, encourage and manage the Community Project workers and volunteers. Help with cooking, cleaning and food collection as well as supporting customers. Demonstrate both a professional and caring manner when interacting with staff, volunteers and programme participants to create a welcoming and supportive environment identify new ways to deliver the aims of the programme and facilitate the establishment of effective collaborative ways of working Support the Community Project Manager with the recruitment, development and supervision of volunteers and project workers to ensure that they contribute successfully to the programmes and activities Ensure your work is carried out in accordance with both Salvation Army and any relevant statutory policies and procedures To record data Ability to manage, prioritise, organise your own workload and that of the community project workers, Experience of working with software such as MS word, Excel, Powerpoint, and email programmes.
