OVERVIEW:
Our Technical Platforms team is growing! Were looking for a Senior Product Owner to join our team, providing support, knowledge and guidance cross functionally. As a Senior Product Owner, you will manage relationships across the business as well as working closely with our technical Engineers to ensure robust and fit for purpose operations systems.
As a passionate Senior Product Owner, you will work across the business to gather information that will allow you to define business requirements and make commercial decisions on what is crucial to the product roadmap. Your knowledge base will allow you to build successful user cases and product features with user experience in mind.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
1. Defining and prioritising the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements
2. Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements for backend integration projects
3. Working closely with development teams to ensure effective implementation of the event-driven microservices architecture on AWS
4. Coordinating with other Product Owners and stakeholders to manage dependencies and ensure a cohesive end-to-end eCommerce solution
5. Regularly reviewing and assessing the performance of backend integrations, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimisation
6. Successfully delivering backend integration projects within the agreed scope, budget, and timeline
7. Continuous improvement and optimisation of the event-driven microservices architecture on AWS
8. Ensuring the stability, scalability, and reliability of backend integrations
9. Maximising the business value and impact of backend integration initiatives
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Essential Criteria:
10. Experience as a Product Owner in a technical environment
11. Experience in software development, with a focus on backend integrations and microservices architecture
12. Experience implementing event-driven microservices architecture, preferably within an eCommerce context
13. Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with experience in a Product Owner or similar role
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
15. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and prioritisation skills
WHAT YOU COULD ALSO HAVE (Non-Essential):
16. AWS certification or equivalent experience, such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, or AWS DevOps Engineer
17. Experience with eCommerce platforms, such as Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce
18. Familiarity with other cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
19. Knowledge of API design principles and best practices, such as REST or GraphQL
20. Experience with CI/CD tools and processes, as well as containerisation technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK.
