Description Hadleigh Town Council, Hadleigh IP7 5DN £13.06 per hour 15 - 18 hours per week Permanent Reference: 0807 Your role This new role has been created to ensure that Hadleigh is well looked after and reflects how we feel about the town. The main part of the role is to carry out weekly litter picking, sweeping and weeding of town council owned/managed areas to ensure they look their best. The other part of the role is to keep the high street and surrounding areas looking clean and tidy which includes weeding, sweeping, leaf collecting etc. Your responsibilities: carry out litter picking, weeding and sweeping at play areas, Layham Road Sports Ground, bus shelters and the war memorial keeping the high street and other areas of the high street in a clean and tidy state to include weeding, litter picking, sweeping watering the town centre floral displays 2 – 3 times per week during May – October. You will need: excellent oral and written communication skills, including an ability to relate to, and communicate with councillors, staff and public experience of using tools and equipment to carry out gardening/grounds maintenance work practical experience of working in a customer facing role the ability to use Outlook and other IT programmes. We will offer you training opportunities. Please note: The hours for this role are 15 - 18 per week, this will usually be 3 hours per day in the afternoons plus occasional evening/weekend working when events are happening.
