Role: Business Development Manager
Salary: Circa £28,000- £30,000 basic + uncapped commission + £4,800 pa car allowance
Location: Newcastle, with some travel to meet with clients
REED are excited to be working with a reputable manufacturing company in Newcastle that is looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager due to expansion.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in thegrowth of our client's business and extending the reach of its products or services in order to increase revenue and take their business to new heights.
The successful candidate will work from our client's Newcastle office, however, flexible working from home is available, and travelling visit clients is an essential part of the role, so a full UK licence and own vehicle is required.
Duties:
* Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, or new ways of reaching existing markets
* Meet with customers/clients face-to-face and over the phone
* Foster and develop relationships with customers and clients to generate repeat business as well as finding new opportunities
* Understand customer needs and respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
* Negotiate pricing with customers, and suppliers in some cases
* Actively promoting our client's services within your geographical area
* Updating internal records including spreadsheets and CRM systems
* Responding to and resolving any client sales issues
