Digital Integration Engineer
Location: NHS Trust (South East) – Remote working after initial site visit
Salary: £53,755 Per Annum
Contract Type: Permanent / Fixed Term (24 months)
About the Role:
An NHS Trust in the South East is seeking a Digital Integration Engineer to join its innovative Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme. This is a UK-first project integrating Acute, Mental Health, and Community services into a single, cohesive digital system.
As a key member of the Development and Innovation Team, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Trust Integration Engines (TIEs), working with HL7, FHIR, and databases to enhance system interoperability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, test, and implement integration solutions within the Trust’s digital strategy.
* Support the Trust Integration Engine (TIE) for seamless clinical data exchange.
* Analyse user requirements and provide technical documentation.
* Ensure compliance with NHS standards and best practices.
* Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* Expertise in system integration within healthcare IT (HL7, FHIR, SQL).
* Strong understanding of TIE development and support.
* Proven ability to troubleshoot, optimise, and document integration solutions.
* Experience working in Agile, PRINCE2, or ITIL frameworks.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
