Production Lead / Supervisor, Walsall, £35-£40k My client is a manufacturing company producing metal pressed components and assemblies. They are looking for somebody to lead and manage production whilst also looking at introducing improvements and new modern systems and techniques. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role is within the senior leadership team, responsible for all production needs, inclusive of production related engineering requirements. You will have an active role in developing the systems and processes to develop the company. Responsibilities: - Plan and schedule production requirements in line with customer purchase orders. Manage production workforce. Pre-planning and purchasing of direct materials in accordance with customer requirements. Ensure full administration/procedures are actioned in a timely manner. Managing all engineering concerns within the business encompassing plant equipment, press tooling and building upkeep. Affective management of goods outwards/transport requirements. Active control, enhancement of technical needs for business growth JOB. Requirements: - You will have experience gained within a metal press working / tooling environment. Good manners and clear communication skills including sound reporting skill set. Excellent time keeping whilst maintaining punctuality and being presentable. Robust skills in leading and managing people. Computer literate with an understanding of Microsoft office package. Understanding of manufacturing software (not essential, training will be given). Self-motivated, forward-thinking person. Hours: 39-hour week (Mon - Thurs 07:30-16:30, Fri 07:30-12:30). Holidays: 25 days holiday plus statutory (they operate a period of fixed shutdowns).
