How you'll make an impact Acting as an actuarial and consulting assistant for a portfolio of clients Handling the preparation of valuations and cost estimates Undertaking and supervising accounting disclosures (FRS17, IAS19, and USGAAP) Coordinating data collection including editing and testing data received from clients Undertaking and checking all aspects of actuarial work associated with pension schemes Preparing letters, reports, and other client materials Assisting in developing administrative procedures and forms used by clients Checking day-to-day individual calculations as requested Participating in internal projects, handling special projects or assignments as needed Assisting scheme consultants with the consultancy aspects of pension schemes Establishing strong working relationships with clients Preparing for and attending client meetings Providing leadership, feedback, and training to actuarial analysts Building up consulting knowledge on actuarial and non-actuarial aspects of pension plans On qualification, progressing towards acquiring a Scheme Actuary certificate and holding responsibility for a portfolio of clients while acting as a client manager for some Peer reviewing and ensuring own work is peer reviewed as appropriate Maintaining accurate time recording and charging to clients where applicable Staying abreast with applicable regulatory bodies Adhering to Corporate Policies and Procedures (CCPs) Reporting any suspected breaches to management/compliance department upon discovery About You Substantial experience with the pensions actuarial environment An all-round communicator with excellent interpersonal skills Skilled at prioritizing, coordinating, and completing tasks within specified timelines Good numeracy and literacy skills Proactive and a great teammate with a collaborative spirit Attention to detail to ensure flawless execution Computer literate with proficiency in relevant software Good numerical/mathematics based degree Good progress through the actuarial exams, generally to have completed CT exams and CA1 Eligible to work in the UK #LI-TM2 Compensation and benefits On top of a competitive salary, great teams and exciting career opportunities, we also offer a wide range of benefits.
