Business Development Manager
Location: London, Swindon or Remote
Salary: £75,000 per annum plus £6,325 car allowance
My client, a Tier 1 Contractor, is looking for a Business Development Manager to establish their brand across the UK Infrastructure and associated Construction Market Sectors.
Reporting to the Managing Director but working within the Work Winning team and closely with the Operations Manager, Head of Bids, and Bid Management team.

Accountabilities of the Role
1. Engage with existing, new, and potential clients to promote the company's capabilities.
2. Identify and track new business opportunities within the company’s chosen sectors in line with the Business Plan.
3. Ensure the Pipeline database is regularly maintained and updated for future work opportunities.
4. Support Pre-Construction Director and Sector Directors in preparation of future business strategy/plan.
5. Chair Sector pipeline meetings and prepare/distribute minutes/actions.
6. Maintain industry/competitor intelligence; attend CECA meetings and others as appropriate.
7. Prepare initial Bid Strategy document and opportunity selection matrix.
8. Support preparation of Expression of Interest/Pre-qualification questionnaires.
9. Attend tender kick-off meetings and provide details on early-stage bid strategy.
10. Undertake Client satisfaction surveys and feedback details to Sector and Project Managers.
11. Support Communications Manager as required for key sectors/markets.
12. Attend client debrief meetings with Bid Managers.
Candidate Requirements
1. Sound knowledge of the UK construction market.
2. Knowledge of relevant procurement legislation.
3. Sound knowledge of civil engineering.
4. Strong presentation and client communication skills.
5. Experience in multiple sectors within the civil infrastructure industry.
