We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Locum Clinical Trials Pharmacist to join our NHS Hospital clients' dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in pharmacy and clinical trials to contribute to the success of clinical research within a well-established healthcare setting. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the safe and effective conduct of clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering exceptional care to patients.

Daily hours: 9am - 5.30pm (1 hour lunch)
ASAP start (November 2024)
6 months contract, or longer
MON-FRI, however part time may be considered
Pay range: £28 - £38 per hour, via PAYE direct engagement
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare, dispense, and manage investigational medicinal products (IMPs) in accordance with clinical trial protocols.
2. Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory requirements for clinical trials.
3. Work closely with clinical trial teams, including investigators, research nurses, and sponsors, to ensure seamless trial operations.
4. Monitor and maintain the IMP inventory, including storage, temperature control, and accountability.
5. Provide expert advice on medication management and ensure that trial medications are dispensed safely and accurately.
6. Assist with the preparation of trial documentation and regulatory submissions.
7. Collaborate in the preparation of trial reports and audits to ensure adherence to protocol and GCP.
8. Train and mentor junior staff and support the professional development of the pharmacy team.
Requirements
1. Pharmacy Degree (MPharm or equivalent) and full registration with the GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council).
2. Proven experience in a clinical trials or research pharmacy setting, ideally within a hospital or research facility.
3. Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), clinical trial regulations, and pharmacovigilance.
4. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
5. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
6. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to high standards of patient care.
7. Previous experience in managing clinical trial documentation and regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
