We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Social Media Assistant to join our dynamic team based in our Edinburgh or Alderley Edge office.
Reporting to the Digital Channel Marketing Manager and being part of the Digital Channels team, you will support the team by collaborating with strategic and trading teams (such as PR, Brand & Marketing, Internal Comms, HR, etc.) as well as media and creative agencies. Your role will ensure that our digital marketing, particularly social media marketing, adheres to best practices across all channels. You will help plan and schedule activities at a group level, driving digital customer experiences that align with our purpose and strategic goals. Through collaboration you will optimise the value of our digital marketing channels with internal and external stakeholders, ensuing we maintain continuity of our brand, tone of voice and messaging.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing our online presence and engaging with our community across various platforms.

About the role
* Responsible for ensuring the RLG social media calendar is up to date with campaigns and initiatives led by trading/strategic teams (e.g. PR, Brand & Marketing, UK Life, Internal Comms, HR etc).
* Contribute towards the creation of engaging social media experiences, which deliver against our purpose and strategic aims.
* Establish a data-led approach to social media and share insights and performance of campaigns with strategic teams.
* Make suggestions to assist in identifying improvements to the user experience of Royal London’s social media channels.
* Point of contact for troubleshooting queries on social media posts, fixes, and edits.
* Supporting Brand and Marketing teams with campaign management and reporting
