Job description: You will provide expert management accounting and decision support services to the Resins business, delivering actionable financial insights to enhance business understanding, profitability, and cash flow performance. This is an 18-month maternity cover contract. Responsibilities Financial Reporting and Analysis : Prepare, analyze, and interpret monthly accounts, forecasts, budgets, and management information to enhance profitability and cash flow. Financial Controls : Ensure compliance with Group policies by implementing appropriate financial controls for the SPR business. Costing and Financial Models : Maintain and develop product costing models in SAP and financial models for strategic planning. Capital Expenditure Support : Provide financial expertise and justification for capital expenditure proposals. Collaboration and Communication : Act as a liaison between the SPR Business, EMEA central finance team, and Tokyo's global business unit, ensuring alignment and effective communication. Leadership and Compliance : Manage and support the development of the SPR Trainee Management Accountant, and ensure compliance with audit requirements for clean reports. Required profile: Financial Expertise : Extensive experience in management and financial accounting, ideally with CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualifications and at least 5 years of post-qualification experience. Analytical Skills : Strong ability to analyze and interpret product and customer mix, sales, and cost data to understand business margins. Problem-Solving : High initiative and problem-solving skills to address challenges and propose effective solutions. Business Acumen : Capability to contribute to broader business discussions as part of the Resins Business Team, beyond a purely financial perspective. Technical Proficiency : Expertise in SAP or similar ERP systems, advanced Excel skills (including financial modeling), and familiarity with group financial policies and procedures. Leadership and Communication : Experience in line management and strong interpersonal skills to influence outcomes and engage effectively across all organizational levels.
