Accounts Senior/Client Bookkeeper – SUPERB ROLE
McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a fast growing Top25 Accounting Firm who are looking to recruit an Accounts Senior/Client Bookkeeper to join their growing Business Services team in Hampshire. Managing a portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses and a team of junior staff, this is a fantastic opportunity to use your Management Accounts experience towards achieving promotion in the future. Key duties include:
* Managing day to day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients as well as reconciliations of the main control accounts, including month end reviews.
* Management accounts preparation.
* Reviewing client entries and advising of corrections or efficiency improvements.
* Preparing, reviewing and filing VAT returns for various VAT schemes.
* Communicating directly with HMRC when necessary, and undertaking general administration tasks.
* Providing training to clients on Xero Accounts and their internal bookkeeping as required.
* Visiting clients on an ad-hoc basis to help resolve bookkeeping issues or take on accounts-related projects.
* Assisting with annual, quarterly and monthly filings of taxes and statutory returns for clients as required.
* Liaising with Managers to ensure all client bookkeeping work is completed accurately, within budget and on time.
To be considered for the Accounts Senior/Bookkeeping role you should be seeking a firm where wider responsibilities, personal ownership and a broader client base will be made available to you. Knowledge of accounting packages (ideally Xero) would be a distinct advantage. Experience of managing junior team members, client/portfolio management, preparing management accounts & related bookkeeping duties are also required. You should ideally be AAT Qualified and/or currently studying for the ACCA qualification.
On offer is a salary up to £35,000 depending on experience plus 25 days holiday, corporate pension & healthcare schemes, and flexible working/WFH options.
