About The Opportunity
Jacobs is helping the UK’s largest infrastructure managers to maximise the value their assets provide over the long term.
From highways to energy, flood risk management and water, we focus on deploying innovative technologies and new ways of thinking to develop an in-depth understanding of the health of their assets and how this might change in response to climate, changing regulatory requirements, and evolving customer and public expectations.
We are looking for a CDM / HSE Advisor within the London, Essex and Suffolk region to support growth within the water sector.
You should be a CDM / HSE advisor with experience of the water sector preferably, but support can be gained if moving cross sector.
Here's what you'll need:
* Chartered membership of IOSH or working towards.
* Experience in advising project teams on matters of CDM compliance and Safety in Design through pre-construction phase of projects.
* Undertake monitoring of project activities for compliance with HSE legislation, standards (ISO45001), across clients construction sites and raise concerns to the appropriate level as required.
* Ability to form and manage relationships with multiple clients.
* Work closely with the HSE teams to support to deliver HSE Objectives across the business.
* Implements actions to transform our approach to H&S through the full project & infrastructure lifecycle.
* Support and coach Project HSE teams.
* Support to incident investigation, ensuring close out (including Intelex) and the lessons learned are communicated.
* Develop and deliver H&S Training, such as CDM training for project teams and Embracing Beyond Zero culture workshops.
* Promoting best practice in all elements of HSE both internally and externally.
* A proactive and participative member of the wider HSE team.
