Our client is currently looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to work with a well-known reputable Facilities Management company.
The role will be to plan, coordinate, manage, and oversee the design stages and technical development of new and existing projects from initial inception through to final handover. Projects will be of multiple disciplines including M&E, fabric, and specialist elements.
Duties:
1. Ensuring accurate collation and compilation of design documentation.
2. Ensuring client design objectives are met.
3. Representing the client's interests.
4. Using IT systems to keep track of progress.
5. Support the continued growth of the UK’s incumbent design team through collaboration and innovative solutions.
6. Review 3rd party design and cost submissions for accuracy and adherence to client specifications.
7. Responsible for the development and production of LV AC electrical design solutions through electronic software packages.
8. Produce detailed electrical design information in both written and drawing formats.
9. Have in-depth knowledge and understanding of commercial & industrial electrical systems. Awareness of critical environments & mission-critical systems is beneficial but not essential.
10. Assist the commercial team where required to compile accurate and comprehensive cost submissions.
11. Knowledge of HV & DNO processes & procedures beneficial but not essential.
12. Organising and working with professionals/contractors in the development of new designs and/or changes to existing projects.

Qualifications and Experience:
1. Experience in CDM Projects in construction and building services.
2. Experience in complex and technically challenging environments.
3. Previous management capacity in a multi-skilled work environment.
4. Analytical skills.
5. Electrical biased with formal qualifications to C&G or HNC/HND standards.
6. AutoCAD and drawing package software experience.
7. BS7671 18th Edition Wiring regulations.
8. C&G Design, Erection and Verification (2396).
9. Driving License Essential.
10. First Aid Training (not essential).
11. CSCS card holder.
12. The role may require UK-wide travel and overnight stays.
Location: Hybrid working Barnsley - reporting office.
Salary: Up to £52,000 per annum DOE.
Working hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.
