JOB PURPOSE:
To be a member of a team of Leisure Assistants reporting to the Duty Manager, ensuring the smooth day to day operation of Perth Leisure Pool.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Duties
Key Tasks
• You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the desired image of Perth Leisure Pool through a welcoming, friendly approach to all customers
• To be a member of a team trained in accident prevention, aquatic rescue and first aid
• To ensure the safety of customers through encouraging safe recreation and activity
• To carry out rescues and to administer remedial treatment as may be defined in the Normal Operating Procedure and Emergency Action Plan
• To maintain a high standard of cleanliness both within and outside the pool at all times. This will include public toilets, shower areas, main concourse, cafeteria, bar, staff areas and outdoors
• To assist with the setting out and clearing away of equipment and furniture

• To assist with the teaching of lessons and classes as required
Health and Safety
Key Tasks
• To comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and all supplementary legislation
Training
Key Tasks
• To attend regular staff training sessions, be they held in in-house or externally
• To maintain the standard required for the current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
General
Key Tasks
• To undertake other related duties as may be required by the Company
• Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines
• To carry out other reasonable duties as may be required
