Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* You will join one of our teams within Manufacturing Operations, which is responsible for the production of superconducting magnets that are installed in MRI and Medical Imaging machines.
* You will gain experience across all areas of production but will develop specialist skills and knowledge within one area over the four years.
* You will report to one of our Cell Leaders and your training will be supervised by a qualified assessor.

Your training plan
* Over the four years you will be working towards the Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard, which is delivered in partnership with BMet.
* Training will be in the form of block release to college in the first year, followed by day release for the second & third year.
* During years 2 & 3 you will also gain onsite manufacturing experience.
* We will familiarize you with our site and operations prior to you starting college in year 1.
