We are seeking a passionate and skilledGardenerto join our exceptional team atThe Summer Lodge Country House Hotel & Restaurantin Dorset. As a key member of our grounds team, you will contribute to maintaining the stunning, landscaped gardens that create a beautiful, tranquil environment for our guests. Previous experience in a similar role and a strong eye for detail are essential. A horticultural qualification is desirable but not required. This role reports directly to the Head Gardener.

Salary:£25,397 per annum

Key Responsibilities of aGardener:
* Planting, watering, pruning, and nurturing a variety of seasonal plants, flowers, and trees.
* Mowing, scarifying, aerating, and weeding lawns to maintain pristine outdoor spaces.
* Preparing and cultivating soil for planting or sowing new greenery.
* Identifying and managing pests to protect the health of the garden.
* Mulching, edging, raking, and collecting leaves to keep gardens neat and attractive.
* Maintaining and ensuring the proper operation of gardening tools and machinery, including mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
* Collaborating with the team to create visually pleasing outdoor spaces that meet the needs and preferences of the hotel and its guests.
What are we looking for?
* Previous experience in a similar gardening or groundskeeping role, ideally within a luxury hotel or estate environment.
* A genuine love for plants and gardening with an excellent eye for detail.
* Ability to plan and manage tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a positive, proactive attitude.
* Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle the physical demands of gardening.
* A horticultural qualification is desirable, though not essential.
