Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated clinician to join our dynamic inpatient transformation team in Acute Mental Health Services. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced psychologist, occupational therapist, nurse, or social worker with a passion for improving patient care and service delivery.

* You are a qualified clinician (Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Nurse, or Social Worker) with specific experience in working with people with complex emotional needs this is likely to include offering evidence-based interventions and supervising others to do so.
* You bring strong expertise in service improvement and are committed to enhancing patient care.
* You have excellent communication skills and thrive in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment.
* Experience with quality improvement initiatives is highly desirable.

Main duties of the job
About the Role: As a Band 7 clinician, you will be central to the exciting work of improving the quality of care for patients with complex emotional needs. Your key responsibility will be to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions like SAFTI- Self Accessed Flexible Treatment Intervention, the 52-hour protocol and Trusted Assessor Approach. You will work closely with the Inpatient Psychological Therapies Professional Lead in the Adult Mental Health Directorate and will be overseen by the Inpatient Transformation Programme and the Complex Emotional Needs Quality Improvement Board. You will work closely with a Senior Peer Support Worker, bringing valuable lived experience of using inpatient services, which is integral to shaping the care we provide. You'll have the chance to collaborate with the inpatient transformation team, with access to support including Quality Improvement (QI), Programme Management Office (PMO), and administrative support.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
* Qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (D.Clin.Psychol. or equivalent) and eligible for Chartered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist Status in the British Psychological Society and registered with HCPC.
* Further training or experience in clinical specialism
Desirable
* Further training in related area.
* Further training in at least one (other) psychological therapy
Experience
Essential
* Experience of working under supervision in secondary care adult mental health services
* Experience of working closely with the CEN patient group
Desirable
* Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across a wide range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care and inpatient settings.
