Job Title: Assurance Manager

Job Overview
* Act as the security, health & safety advisor for the contract.
* Support the operational management teams in the delivery of effective site Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessments.
* Complete assessments of high-risk sites as identified by the client and the Crime & Intelligence team.
* Review and support implementation of strategic direction, policy and systems in relation to Health, Safety, and Security.
* Complete physical threat vulnerability risk assessments across the estate.
* Understand the clients security audit process.
Main Duties
* Conduct physical security risk assessments and vulnerability reviews across the portfolio, including:
o Conducting physical penetration tests.
o Live scenario training and exercising.
* Build a robust security culture through:
o Developing and delivering a security audit/testing framework.
o Cultivating and owning security training programmes and best practices for the onsite team.
* Continuously improve security through identifying, supporting, and facilitating changes to scope for security mitigations.
* Develop security strategy and procedures in support of business operations.
* Support any incident investigations and implement lessons learnt.
* Drive evaluation and improvement cycle for security.
* Assist in security planning for known future events or emerging threats.
* Form networks partnerships and access best practice from the Mitie Assurance Manager community and security industry.
* Act as a conduit for collaborative working between service partners.
Health and Safety Responsibilities
* Follow Group and company policies and procedures.
* Report any deficiencies in systems of work or equipment.
* Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly.
* Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager.
Information Security
* Ensure compliance with Mities information security procedures.
* Proactively identify and report security risks.
* Report actual and suspected security incidents.
What Are We Looking For?
* PSP qualified or security management experience.
* Proven capacity for security assurance design, development, and delivery.
* Previous experience in delivering standards auditing and operational readiness exercises.
* Established expert in team training, change management, development, and mentoring.
* Demonstrable capability to concept, produce, and maintain improvement plans.
